<place w:st=”on”><placename w:st=”on”>MEMORIAL</placename> <placetype w:st=”on”>UNIVERSITY</placetype></place> OF <state w:st=”on”><place w:st=”on”>NEWFOUNDLAND</place></state> (<country-region w:st=”on”><place w:st=”on”>Canada</place></country-region>), the College of the North Atlantic (CNA), and the Centre for Distance Learning and Innovation (CDLI) have teamed up with Desire2Learn to offer a province-wide learning management system (LMS). The new partnership involves a five year contract to provide the Desire2Learn Learning Environment, an enterprisescale e-learning solution for teaching and learning. This is the first time in <place w:st=”on”>North America</place> that all public education providers within a state or province have come together with the specific intention to partner with one LMS provider.
