A Social Learning Experience for Execs

Corporate executives of “a certain generation” who may not be versed in social learning technology and techniques can now develop their social media chops through what are called social learning bootcamps.

“As we head toward 2020, we will see more organizations using social media to attract, retain and develop their employees, as well as to collaborate with their customers and suppliers,” Jeanne Meister recently told the Boston Globe. She is author of a book titled The 2020 Workplace: How Innovative Companies Attract, Develop and Keep Tomorrow’s Employees Today.

The bootcamps reportedly offer sessions that:

>> teach how to use collaborative platforms;

>> examine how some companies are re-imagining corporate learning to be social, collaborative and peer-driven; and

>> how corporate learning needs to adapt to the digital needs and expectations of Millennials.

Partner companies working on these bootcamps include Jive, GP, Kaplan University, DeVry University, IESI Business School and Future Workplace.
