B Schools Learn from Indian Business Strategies

The Indian School of Business (ISB), in collaboration with the Strategic Management Society (SMS), USA, organized an international conference in December at the ISB campus in Hyderabad, India. The conference’s theme was "Emerging India: Strategic Innovation in a Flat World."

The conference attracted high-level participation comprising 45 Indian and 120 international business schools across the world. Renowned academics lead discussions on issues of globalization of India Inc., multinational innovations in India, Indian leadership in strategy, etc.

About 50 Deans of leading international business schools such as INSEAD, Chicago GSB, IESE , Wharton and others met deans of leading Indian business schools such as ISB and IIM’s for the first time at the Dean’s Conclave. They discussed the changes in the role of business schools and how to integrate emerging economies in the process of creating knowledge through research.
