Readers Name Best-in-Class Products for 9th Year
Elearning! Media Group announced the Best of Elearning! 2013 award-winners at the Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo, held at the Anaheim Convention Center, August 26-28, 2013.Recipients are chosen by Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines’ readers and community members via an open-ended online ballot posted at www.2elearning.com.
For the first time, four organizations earned both Best of Elearning! awards and Learning! 100 honors for top performing learning organizations. They are: Oracle; Cisco; Successfactors, an SAP Company; and Kenexa, an IBM Company.
“These four companies literally ‘walk the talk,’” says Jerry Roche, editorial director of Elearning! Media Group. “Not only do these organizations invest in new products and services, they deploy their solutions within their own organizations, providing the best possible use case for implementation.”
This year’s ballot included four new categories bringing the total to 25 categories and 85 products. The new categories were: Best HR Technology, Best Mobile Authoring Solution, Best Learning Services Consulting, Best Translation & Language Services.
Thirty brands were recognized as Best of Elearning! honorees at the Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo. Finalists in each category were honored with awards of excellence. Those receiving awards at the event include the following:
Best Learning Management System (cloud) — Winner: eCornell EDUCE Enterprise Platform.
Awards of Excellence: BizLibrary LMS and Skillsoft’s SkillPort.

Best Learning Management System (enterprise) – Winner: SumTotal Systems’ Learn.
Award of Excellence: Meridian Knowledge System Global LMS.
What voters said about the winner: “It provides the functionality we need to make online,instructor-led, and virtual classroom training available to our learners. It does what we need it to do to manage our training programs.”
Best Learning Content Management System – Winner: Kenexa, an IBM Company’s LCMS.
What voters said about the winner: “The tools are good, the science and analysis back up the tools, and they follow up in terms of what worked and what didn’t work.”
Best Talent Management System – Winner: Cornerstone OnDemand’s Talent Cloud.
Awards of Excellence: Oracle Taleo Cloud, SuccessFactors’ Business Executive Suite.
What voters said about the winner: “It’s a powerful tool with tremendous flexibility. It’s much more than just a LMS.”
Best HR Technology Solution– Winner: SumTotal System’s Work.

Best I.T. Content – Winner: SkillSoft I.T. Library. Awards of Excellence: BizLibrary Computer & Microsoft Elearning.

Best Leadership Training – Winner: eCornell Leadership & Strategic Management. Awards of Excellence to: SkillSoft Leadership Advantage, BizLibrary Leadership E-learning.

Best Soft Skills Training – Winner: eCornell’s HR Management Suite. Awards of Excellence:
BizLibrary’s Streaming Video Library, SkillSoft Business Catalog.

Best Compliance/Certification Program – Winner: VuBiz Compliance Series. Awards of Excellence: eCornell Project Leadership, Skillsoft Compliance Modules.

Best Sales Training -Winner: CloudCoaching International Pathways to Growth

Best E-learning Development Tool– Award of Excellence: SumTotal Systems ToolBook.

Best Mobile Authoring Tool -Winner: Kenexa, an IBM Company for Hot Lava Mobile.

Best Social Collaboration Solution – Award of Excellence: BizLibrary Community.
