RealPage had a large instructor-led classroom-based training program. A few e-learning courses were built in Flash, and they were offered online primarily as pre- or post-classroom training or as
training for those who were unable to travel to classroom sites. RealPage recognized that the number of employees and client personnel attending instructor-led classes was decreasing due to economic cost constraints. This resulted in a significant increase in the need for comprehensive online curriculums. RealPage sought to deploy a learning management solution to provide its customers with tools to manage their own student populations. More importantly, they needed a comprehensive e-learning development tool that would allow them to quickly create a large number of lessons and curriculums that target each customer’s essential processes and their employees’ job roles.
Before deciding upon an e-learning tool, RealPage evaluated and used a number of different content development programs but ultimately selected Atlantic Link software as the complete, turnkey solution. Atlantic Link Content Point software’s unique “show me/try me/test me” functionality was the feature that most impressed the RealPage training team.
“Atlantic Link’s ability to create three different modes of learning with a single recording effort proved to be a great time saver,” comments Bob Wilcox. “Beyond that, I’m very pleased to be able to retain many of our pre-existing content and materials and use them within Content Point-created courseware.”

Last year, several thousand client personnel attended instructor-led classes at our facilities, and there were more than 75,000 launches of online courseware. Content Point is our primary development tool while Atlantic Link Knowledge Point gives our developers, reviewers and subject matter experts’ convenient access to learning content as it is being developed. Additionally, the Issue Management feature will be especially useful for facilitating communication between team members.”
RealPage is making great use of Content Point’s unique features, so much so that it has started to create its own Flash assets. Taking this approach allows RealPage to create any number of additional Flash interactions on top of the 180 supplied with the product. Wilcox comments: “The API and Flash Movie Element Programming documents provided by Atlantic Link have been very helpful, and the support team has been responsive to my forum posts.”
