Top E-learning Tools Coming for 2010

Jane Hart, a social learning consultant, has chosen what she believes will be the top e-learning tools in 2010. According to the founder of Britain’s Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies (http://c4lpt.co.uk/):

“There is only one tool that really stands out as likely to be very highly successful in 2010, and that is Google Wave.” This new tool will allow users to communicate and collaborate in real time through the Internet, using a combination of e-mail, instant messaging, wikis and social networks.

Other new tools that Hart likes:

>> Bing, Microsoft’s new search engine;

>> Wolfram Alpha, an “answer machine” based on knowledge-based computing;

>> Screencastle, Screenflow and CamStudio for screencasting;

>> Voki, a free service that allows you to create personalized speaking avatars and use them on your blog, profile, and in e-mail messages;

>> Thinking Worlds, a 3-D authoring tool;

>> Apture to add multimedia to your Website without leaving the page; and

>> Lovely Charts, an online diagramming tool.
