LMS Consolidation on the Rise

—More Than 75% of Companies Currently Using Multiple LMSs Plan on Consolidating, Most within Next Year 

More than 25% of companies surveyed use multiple LMSs within their organizations; more than 75% plan on consolidating systems; and more than 75% will do so over the next year, according to a study of 249 companies by Expertus & TrainingOutsourcing.com.

As part of the consolidation process, 40% of respondents said they plan on purchasing and implementing a new LMS; 35.6% said they will make major upgrades to an existing LMS during consolidation.

The reasons for LMS consolidation are to:

>> Centralize learner data (77.8%)

>> Improve reporting (68.9%)

>> Enhance content integration (64.4%)

>> Improve integration with other enterprise applications (62.2%).
