L’Oreal Chooses CertPoint VLS

L’Oreal, the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty company, has chosen CertPoint VLS, a global learning technology solution, to help deliver its new employee learning portal. It will be accessible through its corporate intranet called L’Oreal & Me. L’Oreal plans to deploy the program to its 60,000+ employees in 58 countries on five continents, in more than 46 languages.

The My Learning program will provide employees with their individualized online learning space. The program has been created using a blend of innovative learning methods and tools that range from traditional classroom workshops, on-the-job learning and distance learning to video demonstrations and creative Web 2.0 learning.

My Learning will deliver individualized training tracks to employees based on the technical and managerial competencies appropriate to their role. This approach ensures that every employee — no matter his or her location — is empowered with the knowledge and skills to successfully perform their current role and can also see a clear route for advancement. It will also support knowledge transfer within the company; employee orientation; corporate initiatives such as diversity and ethics; and will enable information to be immediately disseminated quickly to employees.
