Adobe has introduced Connect 9.2, the successor to its popular Connect 9 videoconference product. Improvements to Connect include a new fullscreen mode which is able to provide a true video conferencing experience and removes the other elements from the meeting.
Connect 9.2 improvements have been directed at the first time user. For example, Connect’s workflow has been revamped to eliminate the need for new users to create their new meeting. New users will receive an email with their username and a link. The link will take them immediately to their new Adobe Connect room. The first time they visit, they’ll be asked to give their room a name and a custom URL. The virtual room is automatically created and ready to use immediately. The new user can simply distribute their custom URL to invite anyone to their room.
Connect 9.2 also makes signing up for events easier by integrating social profiles as an option to register for an event. This means participants can use their Facebook or Google profile to register for an event and login to the Webinar. Adobe says it believes this will result in a significantly lower abandonment rate for marketing Webinars and events.
