Wii Music to Educate Students in Classroom

In an effort to help inspire students and promote music appreciation, Nintendo is collaborating with select schools and educators to bring the game Wii Music to the classroom. Nintendo plans to work with teachers to incorporate Wii consoles and Wii Music software into their lesson plans, enabling them tools for creativity and improvisation.

Participants in the collaboration includes MENC: The National Association for Music Education, the world’s largest arts education organization and teaching resource for all levels from preschool to graduate school. MENC will help teachers in 51 cities integrate Wii Music into their curricula, making use of the game’s 60-plus instruments and tutorials in rhythm, tempo and song structure.

Experts in the field of music say getting kids interested in music at an early age can help build a lifelong appreciation.  For more information, visit www.WiiMusic.com.
