CEB Buys KnowledgeAdvisors for $52 million

CEB, a talent management company with more than 10,000 corporate clients, has acquired KnowledgeAdvisors, a leading provider of analytics solutions for talent development professionals, for about $52 million.

The companies say the combination of KnowledgeAdvisors’ learning benchmarks and analytics platform and CEB’s insight and analytics on talent acquisition, assessment and development, leaves the combined company uniquely positioned to optimize investments that drive development return on investment.

CEB said corporations spend about $145 billion annually on training initiatives, but more than half of those dollars fail to result in tangible returns, with performance gains from learning investments estimated at less than 10 percent.

The KnowledgeAdvisors “Metrics that Matter®” analytics platform with more than one billion comparative benchmarks, coupled with robust reporting and deep science around learning measurement methodology, allow HR and learning officers to drive returns on their investments in development and training.
