Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) is launching a new mobile-ready course. FLVS’ Anatomy & Physiology course is fully compatible with mobile devices. Students can access all course materials, inter-activities and assessments from their tablet or smart phone.
The two-segment course includes multimedia videos and audio-visual presentations, interactive case studies and virtual labs. In segment one, students receive an introduction to anatomy and physiology, learning about the human skeleton, muscles, the nervous system, the brain and more. In segment two, students explore the fundamentals of biochemistry as well as the structure and functions of cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and immune systems.
FLVS says according to a March 2013 study by Pew Internet and American Life Project, one in four teens are ‘cell-mostly’ Internet users, choosing their phone over other devices such as a laptop or desktop.
