Global Leadership Development Shows Cracks

Only 39% of surveyed organizations have a Global Leadership Development program in place according to an American Management Association’s study conducted by i4CP.  Other surprising results include the definition of leader in the organization. In the past, it was specific to an employee’s title. Now, influence is also considered when selecting a staffer for global leadership development. And, only 40% of respondents rate their Global Leadership Development program as effective.

What areas of leadership skills are most wanting?  Sadly, they are skills within the technology area: Creating a culture of Innovation, Managing virtual teams, Knowledge of virtual technology, Social collaboration, and Creativity.
