Corona, CA Jan. 13, 2015 – Elearning! Media Group, producers of the Enterprise Learning! Conference 2015 (ELC15), is pleased to announce its groundbreaking lineup of Keynote Speakers for the conference. Dr. Jennifer Golbeck, director of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Maryland and author of “Analyzing the Social Web”, “Computing with Social Trust”, and “Trust on the World Wide Web”, will speak on Analyzing the Social Web – Implications for You, Your Career & Your Organization.
“Social Media is growing and changing so quickly that it is difficult to keep up. We are honored to have a world leader in social media research share with us the best way to leverage the vast array of social data in both our private and professional lives” said Catherine Upton, ELC 2015 conference chair. “It is important for people to understand how our actions are analyzed, and then used to personalize your online experience, and what that means for you and our organization.”
As the director of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Maryland, Jennifer Golbeck studies how people use social media — and thinks about ways to improve their interactions. Her work invariably focuses on how to enhance and improve the way that people interact with their own information online. “I approach this from a computer science perspective and my general research hits social networks, trust, web science, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction.”
Golbeck likes nothing more than to immerse herself in the inner workings of the Internet tools so many millions of people use daily, to understand the implications of our choices and actions. She began studying social media from the moment it emerged on the web a decade ago, her research has influenced industry, government and the military. In this keynote, you will see what we know about you, your career and your organization, by analyzing the social web.
Dr. Golbeck’s Keynote address will take place on Tuesday, June 9th at 1:00pm at the Hylton Center for Performing Arts in Manassas, Va.
