Companies around the world report that the current economy is having a bigger impact on recruiting, hiring and developing employees in 2010, reported in the “Global Assessment Trends Report” authored by Dr. Sarah Fallow and Dr. Andrew Solomonson. The focus has moved from external to internal talent management.
Fifty-nine percent of HR executives indicate that performance management is the top priority, followed by career development (35%) and external recruiting and hiring (35%). Training needs moved up to No. 4 from No. 6 in 2009.
