These honors combine with nine previous awards earned by Elearning! Magazine.

“We are thrilled that Government Elearning! Magazine, our newest brand launched in 2009, has been nominated for excellence as Best Trade Three Time Magazine by the WPA. In a time when many tried and true media channels are consolidating, we are extremely pleased that the government audience and publishing community have embraced this new brand,” reports Catherine Upton, Group Publisher, Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines.

By earning these distinctions, Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines matches up with some very tough competition from Oracle Magazine, Game Developer, and others.  Both magazines competed against more than 1200 entries submitted by consumer and trade magazines for these awards, with winners being announced on May 7th, 2010. The WPA nominations bring the total to eleven excellence awards for Elearning! and Government Elearning! Magazine’s editorial staff.

The Best Trade Computer Software, Training & Program Development Magazine honors Elearning! Magazine for its visual and practical presentation of the world of enterprise-wide learning. The magazine addresses technology-enabled learning management at an executive level. Each issue features real-world case studies, techniques and strategies, plus the market trends and analysis against which to benchmark.  “The content focuses on trends, step-by-step tips and techniques to develop and implement an enterprise-wide learning initiative– all to aide our audience to build smarter companies,” adds Jerry Roche, Editorial Director, Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines.

Government Elearning!  magazine’s nomination for Best Trade Three Time Magazine honors the award-winning editorial team’s ability to serve high ranking civilian and military readers who are responsible for operating the nation and carrying out the mandates that define the government’s role in our economy and society.  Government Elearning! magazine helps power the public sector with learning technologies by profiling best practices and use cases from the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Veteran Affairs, and others.

“Our readers are important contributors to our brands. We welcome our readers and partners to contribute case studies, best practices columns, product news and announcements,” says Sarah Chapman, Editor. “The ability to collaborate with industry leading minds allows the magazine to become an invaluable learning resource,” adds Chapman.

Because Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines serve an audience of senior executives from the USA’s largest private and public enterprises, each needs to capture the attention of the most discerning readers.  “The honors from the Western Publications Association and positive responses from our readers prove we are meeting the information needs of this important market," concludes Upton.

Elearning! and Government Elearning! magazines are two in the family of twelve media products serving the $160 billion e-learning market:  eMagazines, web sites, e-mail newsletters and the Elearning!
